Crochet pattern mushroom house

Autumn has arrived! My daughter, who’s three years old, loves the magical little mushroom houses.
So I made up a mushroom house crochet pattern, which I like to share with you.

Supplies
Feel free to use any kind of yarn,or yarn weight with the appriopate hook size.
I used acrylic yarn, with hooksize 3,5mm.- white yarn
– red yarn
– dark brown yarn
– light brown yarn
– crochet hook 3 mm
– gold glitter yarn
– beads
– green embroidery yarn
– cardboard

Abbreviations
magic circle
* st = stitch
* sc = single crochet
* sl st = slip stitch
* ch = chain stitch
* hdc = half double crochet
* dc = double crochet
* 2tog = crochet 2 stitches together

These are the American abbreviations.
Work in continuous rounds, do not join.

Pattern

Stem

Use white yarn.
Round 1: crochet a magic circle with 6 st (6)
Round 2: 2 sc in each st (12)
Round 3: 1 sc then 2sc in next st (18)
Round 4: 1 sc in next 2 st then 2 sc in next st (24)
Round 5: 1 sc in next 3 st then 2 sc in next st (30)
Round 6: 1 sc in next 4 st then 2 sc in next st (36)
Round 7: 1 sc in next 5 st then 2 sc in next st (42)
Round 8: 1s c in next 6 st then 2 sc in next st (48)
Round 9: 1 sc in next 7 st then 2 sc in next st (54)

Place the circle on a piece of cardboard and draw the outline. Cut it out.

Round 11: crochet in the inner loops, 1 sc in eacht st (60)

Place the cardboard on the bottom of the stem.

Hat

Use red yarn.

Don’t cut the yarn!

Place the hat on a piece of cardboard and draw the outline. Cut it out and place it on the stuffed stem.
Place the hat on the stem and crochet them together, using single crochet.
Stuff the hat.

Edging

Round 1: 1 sc in next 15 st then 2 sc in next st (102)
Round 2 and 3: crochet hdc in each st
Round 4: crochet * 1 sc – skip 2 st – 5 dc in 1 st – skip 2 st* Repeat *-* and close the round with a sl st.
Cast off.

Dots

2x:
Use white yarn.
Round 1: crochet a magic circle with 6 st (6)
Round 2: 2 sc in each st (12)
Round 3: 1 sc then 2sc in next st (18)
Round 4: 1 sc in next 2 st then 2 sc in next st (24)

3x:
Use white yarn.
Round 1: crochet a magic circle with 6 st (6)
Round 2: 2 sc in each st (12)
Round 3: 1 sc then 2sc in next st (18)
Cast off.

Sew the dots on the hat.

Door

Chain 7
Sc in the second chain from hook – 5x sc, turn.
Chain 1 – 6x sc, turn. Repeat 6x.

Next round:
Ch – sc – hdc – dc – dc – hdc – sc
Then crochet sc around the door, use 2 sc in the corners.
Cast off and leave a tail.

Use gold glitter yarn to embroider the heck and the hinges, like the picture.

Windows 2x

Use light brown yarn.
Round 1: crochet a magic circle with 6 st (6)
Round 2: 2 sc in each st (12)
Round 3: 1 sc then 2sc in next st (18)
Cast off.
Cast on using dark brown yarn and crochet sc (18)

Window frames

2x: Ch 6, leaving a tail on both ends.

Place the chains on the window and pull the ends through the back.

Rectangle window

Ch 7, using light brown yarn.
Turn, sc in second ch from hook – 5x sc, turn.
Ch – 6x sc, Repeat 9 times.
Change color to dark brown and crochet sc around the door. Use 2 sc in the corners.

Ch 8, leaving a tail at both ends.
Ch 10, leaving a tail at both ends.
These are the window frames.

Sew the windows and door on the mushroom.

Use green embroidery yarn and gold glitter yarn and embrioder plants. I used the cross stitch and some small beads.
